President’s Message

presidentFrom ERAPPA President, Dale DeBlois
On behalf of the ERAPPA Board and all the volunteers that make this organization successful, I want to welcome you to the 2015 ERAPPA Annual Meeting website!

The 2015 ERAPPA Annual Meeting, chaired by John Cannon (College of the Holy Cross), has done a remarkable job in planning and preparing a phenomenal program of educational, recreational, and cultural events for you in revitalized Providence, Rhode Island. This year we will be “Lighting Our Future”, a visionary theme that should serve us well into the New Year. At this year’s Annual Meeting, you will experience amazing speakers, well-orchestrated educational sessions, interactions with our Business Partners, and have an opportunity to enjoy the charm of Providence. I think you will return to your workplace energized and prepared to continue doing the great facilities management work that makes our futures brighter.

I encourage everyone to spend quality time in our Hall of Resources visiting with our Business Partners. They are an enormous resource, and with their wealth of knowledge and eagerness to help grow the facilities field, they continue to be an asset that is greatly appreciated by all. Their collaboration has helped many of us deal with unique issues; and they continually put out new products that make our everyday tasks much easier and safer. Their generous involvement helps us continue to be able to hold these remarkable conferences annually, and allow us to interact with our peers from Washington, D.C. to Ottawa to Newfoundland.

Most importantly, find time to make new acquaintances, reconnect with old friends, or strengthen your relationships with the attendees at this memorable venue. The composition of the attendees ranges from institutional members to business partners to first time attendees to valued guests and spouses. We arrive here from varying geographical locations, institutional sizes, with different expectations, but we all have the common desires to grow as facilities professionals and make new relationships to feed that passion.

Once you are done visiting this site, I would like to invite you to visit the ERAPPA website www.erappa.org, it has been completely redone and will be your pathway to find new information on how to get involved with ERAPPA, or to find scholarship information.

This incredible conference will go very quickly, so be sure to take part in all that you can. I look forward to seeing you all in the educational sessions, the Hall of Resources, or at one of the activities that ERAPPA has in store for you. Please enjoy your time at the 65th ERAPPA Annual Meeting and enjoy Providence!

Dale DeBlois, ERAPPA President
